The folks at Pride Center of Vermont are sad to announce that Carlos Gonzalez-Saenz will be stepping down from his role as Health and Wellness Coordinator after two and a half years at the organization. Carlos has been providing HIV Testing and creating social events with GLAM, PCVT's Mpowerment Intervention designed to reduce new HIV infections among Vermont's gay, bi, and trans, men's communities.
"Carlos is one of the most rad, dynamic, and genuine revolutionaries I have ever had the pleasure of working with" says colleague, Catarina Campbell. This sentiment is shared by the entire staff at PCVT.
"The last two and a half years at the center have been amazing. I have learned so much about myself and my community. It has changed my life for the better. I will always feel like I am part of the PCVT family, forever. This organization has a permanent place in my heart." says Carlos. He is going to be living and working in the Montpelier area and will still play an active role at the Pride Center as a volunteer.
Travis Miller, Pride Center's part-time GLAM Coordinator, will be moving into Carlos' role as full-time Health and Wellness Coordinator.
Please help us send Carlos off with style! We'll be saying our goodbyes on the big boat party this Saturday and at the GLAM meeting on Wednesdayø, July 26th at 6:30pm. His last day is Friday, July 28th.
