Matt Hagberg Joins Pride Center Team

Pride Center of Vermont welcomes a new staff member to its team this week, as Matt Hagberg (he/him) begins onboarding for the role of Operations Coordinator.

Hagberg will be tasked with overseeing daily operations and administration of programs and services at Pride Center of Vermont. This work will include coordination of office procedures, volunteers, internal and external communications, and being the foundation that supports programs, events, community engagement, donor relations, database management, and general support for the leadership team and board.

“Being able to serve queer and trans people in my community is such a blessing,” says Hagberg. “The Pride center does amazing work and I’m excited to see what’s in store for me!”

With his experience in administrative support and recordkeeping, as well as an educational background in Gender, Sexuality, & Women’s studies, Hagberg will help organize and strengthen the many pieces of Pride Center. His background and lived experiences will help him to connect with the many LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities Pride Center serves.

Matt has a 8-year old tuxedo cat named Grimmel, and loves record collecting and thrifting.

“It’s so exciting to be in the position to hire and train someone for the role I originated at Pride Center of Vermont,” says Phoebe Zorn, Director of Development & Communications. “Matt’s enthusiasm, energy, and experiences are going to be a great asset to our Operations Team and the whole Pride Center community.”
