Fraudulent Web Page

To our LGBTQIA community - please note that a fraudulent web page with a domain similar to the Center's and mimicking the look of our Pride Center Vermont web site has recently been published.  We are sorry for any confusion or concern this has created.  We are not affiliated with nor do we endorse this fraudulent page. Please direct questions or comments to Susan Hartman, Pride Center of Vermont Executive Director.

The MS proprietor should have worked with all the various LGBTQ events and orgs in town on a business plan before opening. If he had, I'm sure he would have chosen a different name and attracted more clientele. He screwed up there, but he shouldn't have been crucified for using a name that is common and positive in older gay circles. The response he got could be viewed as ageist and homophobic. I personally find the term queer offensive when applied to me, but I respect that some people prefer that term. What we need is understanding and respect in this community, not tyranny and hatred. Now we have no LGBTQ bar in Vermont. Talk about shooting ourselves in the foot. Let loneliness and meth addiction reign for the 30 days between LGBTQ events in this area. No wonder single LGBTQ people leave Vermont.
