Proud and Sober: LGBTQ AA Meeting
Looking for help getting or staying sober? Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help others to recover from alcoholism. This group, Proud and Sober, is an open group (so friends of the program are welcome). The format alternates from reading from the Big Book one week and then discussing a slogan the next. The group meets Sundays from 7p-8p at the Pride Center of Vermont. The sister LGBTQ group, also called Proud and Sober, takes place each Tuesday at 7p at the Turning Point Center in Burlington.
