Ever thought about running for office? Have you ever wondered what your life might look like if you decided to run for the Vermont legislature? Let us help you imagine!

Please join the Pride Center on Thursday, September 7th at 6 PM at The Main Street Landing Board Room, located on the second floor of the Lake & College building at 60 Lake Street. Participants will take part in a roundtable discussion about running and serving as an elected official in our brave little state.

We'll be joined by Rep. Bill Lippert, a 20 year veteran of the House and chair of the House Committee on Health Care; Rep. Tom Stevens, the Vice Chair of the House Committee on General, Housing and Military Affairs who has served in the legislature since 2009; and Rep. Lori Houghton, who has served Essex Junction in a variety of roles and is in her first term as state representative.

They'll talk about why they decided to run for office; some of their accomplishments as legislators; how they balance work, family, and public service; and how they stay elected.

We hope to see you there!
